A month
ago, my son and myself returned from our “Kili climb & Safari” adventure.
Not a day has past without thinking & talking about the wonderful
experience and the great people we met. I would like to specially thank Amani
our guide, who was always smiling, always available for help, very experienced
and knowledgeable! Also a big thank you to Faraja (assistant guide), Alex or “Mr Magician” (cook) and the entire
crew! I truly believe that this is the best crew on the mountain. I’m sure that
without their expertise and care we would not have been able to reach the
summit! After our climb, we went to Tarangire Nat. Park (stayed at the
wonderful Osupuko Lodge) and visited Lake Manyara. Both days were also an
unbelievable experience with the wonderful assistance of Abu (guide) – he also
did a super job! Menno, I would like to thank you and the entire team for
setting up this customized trip. Well done! One small / minor comment for
improvement: Outpost Lodge reservations (overbooked at arrival and after
returning from Safari ) and communication on Shuttle service to & from
Nairobi (company, reservation no., ..).
As said, these were minor things and overall we had a great time and
would love to come back one day to beautiful Tanzania. Hakuna Matata! Menno and
Hofland Exp Team; Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Dear Menno, Amani and team, it has been 2 weeks since we got
back to Holland after journey of a lifetime in Tanzania, our very first visit
to Africa. There are almost no words to discribe the feelings&impressions
from our holiday. Climbing Kilimanjaro was such an overwhelming experience, not
only due to the mountain itself but also thanks to Amani&his team – the
best team on the mountain! Guys were great: Amani is a pleasure to have around
with his sence of humor& tremendous experience; Alex is a real wizard with
food, he spoiled us every day of the climb with surprising&delicious
dishes; the entire team made it possible for us to reach the summit with
singing&dancing!!! It’s not the destination, it’s the journey they say and
in our case it was 100% true. Summit of the Kili is breathtaking& awesome! WOW!End

above. After Kili we got 5 days of safari which was a true adventure& made
us feel very close to the nature. Being so close to the animals you can almost
touch them, spend a night in Serengeti Wilderness Tented Camp &wake up in
the middle of nowhere makes you feel so incredibely disconnected from European
“rushing around”mode. After couple of days spent in Zanzibar made us come to
the conclusion: we will be back to see more of this beautiful country called
Tanzania, no doubt about it! And we will climb more mountains too. Menno, we
would like to thank you for this custom made trip. Hopefully you will never lose
that personal touch which really makes your approach so unique. We are looking
forward to an invitation for the opening of your lodge! Good luck with that
project of yours!!!

Last weekend we returned to the Netherlands after an additional stay in Kenia.
First of all a want to thank (a second time) both of you ,for the splendid tour you offered all of us.
To begin with the Kili ,although I did not reach the top myself,I look back on a wonderful experience.
The other 4 members of the family were more successful,not hindered by high mountain sickness.
Their reaching the top was for a great part realized thanks the very professional group of guides , cooks and porters around us.
Thea and my three daughters want to say thanks to Amani in particular.
He was not only very professional, leading when necessary,but also careful and pleasant company,always full attention about
route, adequate speed,personal needs,interesting facts about route nature,Tanzania,politics,etc .
He and the other members of the team were of great help on the day the group had to reach the top.
We also still remember the beautiful songs the last day!All together a great experience for all of us.
After the Kili we left for a wonderful safari tour of 5 days.Also this part was well guided. Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti parks were nice experiences.
And finally after the Ngorongoro crater we reached the airport in time in the evening of the fifth day,according the schedule,very satisfied.

Dear Menno, Abu, Paolo & Julius,Thanks to you all for organising such a memorable holiday in your beautiful country and National Parks (Arusha, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi, Serengati, Ngorogoro Crater). So many wonderful memories & experiences in our 7-day camping safari.Menno - everything was organised to perfection. A perfect itinerary, great campsites and we really felt well looked after by your team.Abu - thanks for making our week in your 4x4 such a fun and interesting time. You have the eyes of an eagle, and knew so much information about the wildlife - things you won't find in a book. Thanks also for your patience while I took so many photos!Paolo - your cooking was delicious, varied and nourishing, and you worked so hard getting up early to look after us. I especially remember your delicious lightly battered tilapia for lunch - better than in a fish & chip shop in the UK!Julius - thanks for an unforgettable experience with the Bushmen and the Datogo village and their blacksmith, and for the unexpected visit to the lush onion fields.We're already considering whether to do another trip with a longer stay in Serengeti, or Kenya, or the Southern parks of Tanzania....Hopefully we will see you again! Dear Menno & Team,I had the most excellent holiday ever; both the unforgettable safari (great guide&cook!) as well as spending time in both Arusha and Zanzibar!My expectations were high and Hofland Expeditions managed to make every one of them true and more.The several accommodations were really nice and also very suitable for single travelers like myself. In March we went to Tanzania to go on safari with Hofland Expeditions. Julius was our guide on our 7 days safari trip. It was amazing! We have seen all the animals we could imagine (including the big 5). We even saw a leopard climbing into a tree with an antelope in his mouth. Julius is a great guide and he has very good eyes. From far away he already saw all the animals. We really want to thank Julius again for everything. We also had a very good cook with us. He made us very nice meals! We have seen all the animals from very close and we are very happy that we booked with Hofland Expeditions. The trip to the bushmen was also very nice! Thanks again for the great holiday that we will never forget!

We are already back in Holland for one week, but our trip to Tanzania was unforgettable!
It was really impressive to visit the Hazabe tribe and to see a cheetah catching a gazelle. But these are only a few out of great moments. Special thanks to Julius. He supported us very well with his knowledge about wildlife and his “eagle eyes”.
Our stay on Zanzabar at the Karafuu lodges was perfect to relax an recover from the safari. Snorkling at Zanzibar was also a good advise.
Again, thank you and Julius for a wonderful trip.

I gladly want to thank you also on behalf of my dear fellow-travellers for the 6 days' safari trip in Tanzania which we all enjoyed from the first to the very last minute. The holidays in Zanzibar have just been the "cherry on the pudding".
It has been a great and challenging experience especially because the entire trip was very well organized. Furthermore the entire program of the safari trip was full of alteration (visits to a local market, the Maasai camp, the Bushmen Hazebe, Olduvai Gorge museum and the coffee-plantations in combination with the many game drives) with well chosen locations of the hotels (3 lodges overlooking respectively Lake Manyara, Lake Eyasi and Ngorongoro crater; 2 lodges in the middle of respectively coffee-plantations and the savannnahs of Serengeti N.P.). On top of that an expert but above all humoristic guide/driver (August and later Juma) made this success story complete.
Last but not least I want to mention that the people I met in Tanzania are, in spite of the fact that most of them live in great poverty, extremely kind and always ready for a chat.

From 10 till 16 December 2007 Julius the driver and guide, and Daniël the king of the kitchen, made us to experience the beauty of a Tanzania safari. Thanks to the perfect arrangements, tips and ideas of Menno. It was really a lifetime experience!
We visited the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of NP Taragire, Lake Manyara, Serengetti and Ngorongoro, and the way of life in the villages of the masai and bushmen.
Thank you all very much for sharing all information and especially the delicious food.
